Film Digitization

Now a benefit for all our members!

If you have 8mm or Super 8 film you’d like to have digitized, the Blue Island Historical Society now offers this service as a benefit of membership at every level. We only stipulate that any film we digitize will be added to our digital archive to be used for research purposes, and possibly shared on our social media properties, used for promotional purposes, or included on our website. Members can choose to have their film returned to them, or can entrust us with its care by donating it to the Historical Society.

Film can be dropped off at the Albee House during our regular hours of operation. Those who are unable to drop off film for digitization will be responsible for all postage or shipping costs.
