Albee House Restoration
Beginning in the Spring of 2019, we finally began our effort to restore the exterior of our home, the Albee House. The full extent of this project won’t be realized for several years, but we’re currently repairing and painting all of the currently-exposed woodwork, removing the aluminum siding on the front and south sides of the house, exposing the wood siding underneath and allowing us to install corbels (brackets) in the eaves, and restoring the molding around the 2nd floor windows.
This project is in addition to the work that we’ve already begun on the inside of the house – the removal/repair of the deteriorated ceiling and walls in our storage room, followed by continued electrical upgrades throughout the house, and a host of other smaller projects.
This work is long overdue, but we can’t pull it off without your continued support! Beyond attending our many events and programs, the best way to support BIHS is by becoming a member.
