Welcome to the Blue Island Historical Society’s 35th House Walk, and thank you for your support! Before you begin your tour, we ask that you please review a few rules and recommendations to ensure a fun, safe, and respectful event…

Face coverings may be required inside of some locations. If you do not have your own, there are free, disposable face coverings available at the Albee House (13018 Maple Avenue).

Restrooms
Restrooms are located in the Albee House – please refrain from using restrooms in the private residences on this year’s House Walk.

A few rules
The properties will be open from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.; please present your paper ticket at each location. You may visit the House Walk locations in any order you choose. Docents will help guide you through the interiors after you enter each location.

At each house, please stay on the sidewalks and walkways, unless the garden is open. Please do not bring food or drinks inside the homes—however, some houses will provide light refreshments in an area designated to consume them.

No photography is permitted inside the houses unless permission is granted by the owner. Large bags are to be left at the front door with the volunteer docent. As a courtesy, please silence your cell phone while inside the homes.

Some homes may require shoe coverings – we ask that you please respect our homeowners’ wishes, and keep your shoe coverings on through the entirety of your tour inside of those homes.
