A note for all attendees: please bring your own lawn chairs! We’ll only have a limited number available for those without their own seating.

The Blue Island Historical Society and Silent Film Society of Chicago present an outdoor screening of Nosferatu – with live musical accompaniment and campfires – from the lawn of the historic Henry Klein House!

Widely regarded as a deeply influential, early masterpiece of the horror genre, Nosferatu is a German adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Eventually banned due to copyright infringement with all of its copies ordered to be destroyed, several reels of the original film survived, allowing this classic to live on.

Your $20 admission ($10 for children 12 and under) includes a campfire-side viewing of the film, s’mores, drinks, and endless popcorn.

In the event of inclement weather, this event will be held indoors at the Albee House – 13018 Maple Ave, Blue Island, IL.
